My work lies at the intersection of human behaviour, technology, and the energy system. I specialise in policy, regulation and innovation within the energy and mobility systems, particularly focusing on the grid integration of electric vehicles and the role of users. My motivation comes from seeing how technology can empower us to take sustainable action, like smart and bidirectional charging for electric vehicles and flexible control of heat pumps. Well designed, these actions benefit both the user and the energy system, whilst making it easy and friction-free. I have over 15 years’ experience working in sustainable mobility, demand-side flexibility, smart EV charging and EV charging infrastructure deployment. My work has covered everything from designing and testing the EV charging user journey to developing policies that enable smart charging services to flourish and using data to build a thriving, demand-driven, customer-focused public EV charging network. I help organisations shape and sharpen their strategy, products and policies.
